2026-2027 Curriculum Processing Calendar
Curriculum requests require approval by the department/school and college. Contact the department head/school director and dean for deadlines.
All South Dakota Board of Regents and SDSU curriculum forms will be submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs by the dean (or designee) of the college.
Substantive curriculum requests will be reviewed by the Office of Academic Affairs for addition to the SDSU and South Dakota Board of Regents curriculum approval cycle.
Minor curriculum requests will be reviewed and approved by the vice provost for undergraduate education and the vice provost for graduate education and extended studies.
Intent to plan, new program, new site, new certificate and new specialization proposals must appear on the Academic Affairs Council system pending and in-progress requests one meeting prior to its appearance on a system-level AAC agenda.

All General Education curriculum requests must be routed to the Office of Academic Affairs with college-level approval no later than Aug. 21 for potential implementation during the 2027-2028 academic year.
